Join us to raise a cup of hot chocolate in celebration of
"Sorrows & Silver Linings: Global Pandemic in a Small Town,"
the anthology of 84 stories about what life was like in Carlisle during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Carlisle COVID Anthology Project will soon be published and available! And everyone is invited to our book launch on the lawn at Gleason Library. Bundle up in winter layers and join us under the canopy for a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie or two as we toast the book's publication and thank the many townspeople who contributed to its completion.
Copies of the book, Sorrows & Silver Linings: Global Pandemic in a Small Town, will be donated to Gleason Library, the Carlisle Public School and the Carlisle Historical Society. We'll also have a limited number of copies available for purchase at the event, after which they can be ordered on Amazon.com. A percentage of the proceeds from the book will be donated to the Carlisle Neighbor Fund.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who shared their stories with us. With 84 participants in all, ranging in age from 8 to 82, the collection reflects our community's wide range of experiences during this complicated time. We also thank the First Religious Society for allowing us to hold our interviews in Union Hall and to Gleason Library for letting us host this outdoor celebration.
